you do not need to bring your itinerary upon checking-in at the airport (unless you’re on an international flight). We live in the 21st century! Of course they have your name on their computers! That’s the beauty of it. I did it once when I forgot to printout my ticket. The airline staff still checked me in. Even so, you will still need to present a valid ID. SOP, but that’s not my point.
Here’s why you have to bring your itinerary
- The airport security will have to look at your ticket to verify if you are really a passenger for today’s flights.
- Checking in would be much faster (although, I doubt it’s still the same); and third,
- The airport security will have to look at your ticket.
Well that’s a bummer. Funny how the ticket’s supposed to be used at the check-in counter but it’s actually the security group who’s gonna look at it.
